Why the Magical Print Co & Why we need your help!

A Little Magic, a Lot of Prints – Welcome to The Magical Print Company
(Brought to you by The Cosy Print Co – because why have one website when you can stress over two?)

Let’s rewind to 2020.

Like many of us, I found myself stuck at home, wondering what day it was, and looking for something—anything—that felt a little bit normal. So, naturally, I decided to start a print business. (Because baking banana bread and panic-buying toilet roll just wasn’t cutting it.)

It wasn’t called The Cosy Print Co back then. In fact, it didn’t really have a proper name at all. It was just me, designing prints on my laptop, trying to bring some joy into people’s homes—and also, let’s be honest, trying to keep myself sane. That little Etsy shop carried me through a weird, weird time.

But in 2022, life got busy, the creative spark dimmed a bit, and I hit pause.

Fast forward to 2025, and I relaunched with a clearer head, a proper name (The Cosy Print Co), and a fresh burst of inspiration. And yes, probably a little caffeine too.

Now, if you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m a full-on Disney girlie. Raised on the classics, obsessed with the parks, and someone who tears up when she hears “When You Wish Upon a Star”—no shame.

So when I started creating prints again, it was only natural that a magical collection snuck its way in. I tried to keep it low-key… but who am I kidding? Eventually, I realised that my magical prints needed their own moment.

A place where I could fully lean into the Disney vibes, without trying to cram them into a cosy-themed box.

And so The Magical Print Company was born. Think of it as The Cosy Print Co’s slightly extra, sparkle-loving little sister.

Disney has always meant more to me than just films or theme parks. It gave me an escape during tough times growing up and has continued to be a source of comfort and inspiration into adulthood.

When things felt too loud or too much, Disney was my quiet corner. And even now, as an adult, that same magic has this way of wrapping around me like a warm hug from a character meet-and-greet (minus the awkward small talk).

As someone who’s a little neuro-spicy (aka: navigating life with a brain that constantly feels like 37 browser tabs are open at once), the Disney bubble is more than just fun—it’s necessary.

Whether I’m rewatching Mary Poppins for the hundredth time or standing on Main Street with a Rice Krispie treat in hand, Disney gives me space to breathe, heal, and just be.

Now, let’s get something straight: I’m not running this whole show alone.

My partner Clare is the technical genius behind both websites. She handles all the smart stuff—automations, SEO, making sure things don’t randomly fall apart—while I focus on the creative side, chatting to you all on social, and, of course, obsessing over which font gives off the most “Epcot-core” energy.

Clare also runs the post office trips, sets up all the equipment, and builds the furniture to keep everything neat and tidy. Together, we somehow make it work.

Truthfully? We’re in a bit of a “let’s see what sticks” phase. This whole two-site setup is a bit of an experiment.

We’re listening to you—our lovely, supportive community—to figure out what you want more of: cosy prints, magical vibes, or maybe both. Your feedback helps shape where we go next, and your support? Honestly, it means everything.

We’ve included a vote below for you to tell us what you want to see next.

Should we keep both The Cosy Print Company and The Magical Print Company going? Focus on one? Or merge the two?

Your vote will help us decide the future of the brands, so please take a moment to share your thoughts.

To everyone who’s followed, liked, commented, shared, signed up, or placed an order—thank you.

You’re helping a small business thrive, but more than that, you’re helping a grown-up Disney kid live her dream. And that’s pretty magical.

With love (and possibly a Pepsi Max lime in hand),
Em x
